St Thomas of Acon - Province of Wessex

Home

Welcome to the Home page of the Commemorative Order of St. Thomas of Acon for the Province of Wessex.

The Commemorative Order of Saint Thomas of Acon is the only Masonic Order to have its origins recorded as a matter of fact in the Guildhall Library, London and is wholly dedicated to Saint Thomas Beckett.  The history of the Order can be read by following the link to the Order’s Website. Since 1974 interest in this beautiful Christian Order, in which ‘Humiltas et Caritas’, Humility and Caring (Love), is practiced, has proliferated worldwide.

The Order is a sovereign British Masonic Organisation. Membership, which is by invitation only, is restricted to those who are subscribing members of a Preceptory  (Commandery) in amity with the Great Priory of the United Religious, Military, and Masonic Order of the Temple of England and Wales and Provinces Overseas (commonly referred to as the Knights Templar).

Our Charities raise monies for the support and upkeep of Canterbury Cathedral

The Province of Wessex was constituted on Saturday 28th January 2012 in Bristol.

I hope that in visiting this site, either as a member or an interested visitor, you will enjoy the content and gain a greater understanding of the Commemorative Order and our activities.

Sir Andrew (Clapp) of Milton
Right Worthy Grand Preceptor
